Adding Third-Party Tracking Tags to Your Online Join Page

Facebook Ads Pixel, Google Tag Manager & Custom Trackers

Knowledge Base Article  | Support & Client Success

Important: Third-party tracking tags cannot be added by clients through the Settings page. This feature requires setup by our programming team. Please submit a request using the process outlined below and we will handle the implementation on your behalf.

Overview

Our platform supports the placement of third-party tracking tags — such as the Facebook Ads Pixel, Google Analytics, and other marketing trackers — directly on your member Online Join (sign-up) page. These tags allow you to track conversions, measure ad performance, and better understand how visitors are finding and joining your organization.

Because these tags involve custom code added to your pages, all implementations are performed by our programming team. This article explains what you need to prepare, how to submit your request, and — if you manage multiple tags — how Google Tag Manager (GTM) can simplify things for you long-term.

Section 1: Facebook Ads Pixel — What You Need to Do First

Before our team can add your Facebook Ads Pixel to your join page, you will need to locate your unique Pixel ID inside your Facebook Ads Manager account. Here is how to find it:

How to Find Your Facebook Pixel ID

Log in to your Facebook Ads Manager at business.facebook.com

In the left-hand menu, click Events Manager

Under Data Sources, select your Pixel from the list

Your Pixel ID will be displayed at the top of the screen — it is a long number (example: 1234567890123456). Copy this number.

If you have not yet created a Facebook Pixel, you can do so within Events Manager by clicking Connect Data Sources and following the setup prompts. Once your Pixel ID is ready, proceed to Section 3 to submit your request.

Section 2: Understanding the Online Join Page Structure

The Online Join process consists of three distinct pages that members move through during sign-up. An important technical note: the URL does not change as a member progresses through the join flow.

A single global tag can be added across all pages and will work in many cases. However, if you need a deeper level of tracking — for example, to see exactly how far members progress through the sign-up process, or to record a completed membership as a conversion — tags can also be applied individually to each page.

The Three Online Join Pages That Support Tags

Landing Page / All Offers — The first page a prospective member sees, displaying available membership options and offers. A tag here tracks initial interest and ad-driven traffic.

Form / Member Information — The page where the prospective member fills in their personal and contact details. A tag here tracks engagement and form progression.

Thank You Page / Final Agreement Page — The confirmation page shown after a membership has been successfully completed. To track conversions, this page must have its own distinct tag. Without it, your ad platform will have no way to confirm that a sign-up was completed.

When submitting your request, please specify which page(s) you want tagged and whether you need conversion tracking on the Thank You / Final Agreement page.

Section 3: How to Submit a Tag Implementation Request

Once you have your tag details ready, contact our Support Services Team to request the implementation. To process your request as quickly as possible, please include the following information:

Your account number (e.g., client 10824)

The type of tag (e.g., Facebook Ads Pixel, Google Ads conversion tag, etc.)

The HTML snippet that Google or Facebook provided to embed on the page

Which page(s) you want the tag placed on (Landing Page, Form/Member Information, and/or Thank You Page)

Our team will confirm receipt of your request and let you know the estimated turnaround time. Once the tag has been added, you can verify it is working by installing the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension (available for Google Chrome) and visiting your join page — the extension will show a green indicator confirming the Pixel is firing correctly.

Section 4: Google Tag Manager — A Smarter Way to Manage Multiple Tags

If you run multiple advertising or analytics platforms — or anticipate adding more trackers in the future — we strongly recommend setting up a Google Tag Manager (GTM) account before submitting your request.

What Is Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager is a free tool from Google that acts as a single container for all of your tracking tags. Instead of our team adding each tag separately to your pages, we add the GTM container code once — and then all of your tags (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and more) are managed inside GTM. This means:

Future tags can often be added or updated within GTM without requiring additional code changes to your pages

You have a central dashboard to see and manage all your active tags

Tags can be tested before going live using GTM's built-in Preview mode

It reduces the risk of errors that can occur when multiple code snippets are added independently

How to Create a Google Tag Manager Account

Go to tagmanager.google.com and sign in with a Google account

Click Create Account

Enter your Account Name (typically your organization name) and select your country

Under Container Setup, enter your website URL and select Web as the target platform

Accept the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service

Your GTM account and container will be created. You will be given a Container ID (formatted as GTM-XXXXXXX) — note this down

When submitting your implementation request (see Section 3), let us know you have a GTM container set up and include your Container ID. This helps our team get started right away.

Section 5: What to Expect After Submitting Your Request

Once your request has been submitted with all the required information, here is what happens next:

Our support team will confirm receipt of your request and provide an estimated completion timeframe.

Our programming team will add the tag code to the specified page(s).

You will be notified once the implementation is complete.

We recommend verifying the tag is firing correctly:

For Facebook Pixel: Use the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension

For GTM tags: Use GTM's built-in Preview mode to confirm all tags fire on the correct pages

For Google Ads or Analytics: Check the Tag Assistant Legacy Chrome extension

If you encounter any issues after implementation, please reach out to our support team and reference your original request so we can assist you promptly.

Quick Reference Summary

Topic Key Point
Is this self-serve? No — tags cannot be added through the Settings page. All implementations are done by our programming team.
What do I need to provide? The HTML snippet that Google or Facebook provided to embed on the page, along with your account number and which page(s) to tag.
How do I request it? Contact support with your account number, tag type, HTML snippet, and target page(s).
Which pages can be tagged? Landing Page / All Offers, Form / Member Information, and Thank You / Final Agreement Page.
Do I need separate tags per page? A single global tag can work for basic tracking. For conversion tracking or granular progression data, individual tags per page are recommended.
What is GTM? A free Google tool that manages all your tags in one place. Recommended if you use multiple trackers.
How do I verify? Use the Meta Pixel Helper or GTM Preview mode after implementation.
