French Canadian Localization for Members in Quebec

To support French Canadian members in Quebec, the following member facing applications and communication offer a localized version:

Online Join

Online Renewal

My ASF Account

Emailed statements for payments due

Emailed payment rejected notices

ASF Mobile does not currently offer localization.

Online Join and Online Renewal

Localized versions for Online Join and Online Renewal are available using the standard links and replacing the “www” in the link URL with “fr-CA” - see below. See this article to learn where to access standard links.

Localization will be applied to all contracts generated and emailed to members.

While Member Enrollment does not currently offer localization, it does offer localized contract generation using a preferred language selection that is enabled via club level preference: Client Preferences > Member Enrollment > Email Settings > Provide member email communication in Canadian French and English.

Localized version is available for Canadian club members using the “Pour la version française, cliquez ici.“ link as shown below. This link is visible after the “Canada” checkbox is selected.

Emailed statements for payments due

The email that members receive with a statement for payments due is available in either English or Canadian French. This is managed via club level preference: Client Preferences > Member Enrollment > Email Settings > Provide member email communication in Canadian French and English.

If set to True, the email is sent in Canadian French

If set to False, the email is sent in English

Emailed payment rejected notices

The email that members receive with a notice when a payment is rejected or declined is available in either English or bilingual Canadian French and English. This is managed via club level preference: Client Preferences > Member Enrollment > Email Settings > Provide member email communication in Canadian French and English.

If set to True, the email is sent in bilingual Canadian French and English

If set to False, the email is sent in English

Implementation Best Practices

All club memberships are represented as two offers - one offer with all content in English and one offer with all content in Canadian French

Offers are grouped by language - one offer group for English offers, and one offer group for Canadian French offers

The club’s website includes a language preference for navigating to the corresponding Online Join link.
